Imam Mamadou Toure, founder and president of the Institute of Islamic and Interfaith Studies and Imam at the Bilal Mosque in Beaverton, hosted an interfaith event. Rabbi Arie Hershfelt of the Pne Or community and Dr Jerry Brown of the Atkinson Memorial Church were invited at the Bilal Mosque, along with members of their communities. Rabbi Arie spoke on Judaism and Dr. Brown on Christianity. Following the presentations, the 3 communities got together for refreshments and one on one conversations. The Christian and Jewish guests were given a tour of the Mosque prior to their departure.
